Welcome to Wooster, Family, Friends, Community! Just a reminder that the 5K Marathon and the 1/2 Marathon is tomorrow, Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Wooster City Park! The race begins at 7am. If you still want to sign up, you can do so in the morning. If you'd like to donate, donations are accepted all morning long. As of 4 days ago, there were 110 runners registered!ALL PROCEEDS GO TO CHILDREN & THEIR FAMILIES WHO FACE CANCER EVERY DAY & OTHER TERMINAL ILLNESSES.Our hearts and our prayers are with everyone of these families. The City of Wooster's Water District includes 6 churches with a 7th being built down Shaw Bridge Rd. These families are on prayer lists everywhere! We are not just a patriotic community, but a praying patriotic community. We love our Family! We love our Friends! We love our Community!Since this organization with its great cause is coming to our town again, we have a special treat for all participants & donors... many of you have had his food before, even at the Annual Chuck Wagon Races in Clinton just last week - so you already know how goooood it is!PATTON'S CONCESSION & CATERING, Owner, Operator, & Chef TODD PATTON, one of our City Council Alderman - one of the BEST MEAT COOKS around, will be providing his delicious BAR-B-QUE and one of the crowd favorites: BBQ Nachos! (Todd won't be onsite, but his food sure will!)This all takes place in the morning, so please hurry, sign up, donate, spread the word, & come on out!!!
